Looks like you have to get the bad record monkey of your back, a hot car may prove too tempting at a time when each ticket equates to thousands in future insurance cost, perhaps when you are a 25 year old success and responsible in the insurance companies eyes you can reward yourself with some cool wheels.

try to get on your parents policy but list you as a driver on the oldest car on their policy. as you as you are listed on one of the cars…you are covered on all of them. this way being listed on the ldest car..no collision…you will get the cheapest rates.

Your premiums will be high, not only because of your ticket and accident but also because you are only 20 years old. The type of car you have will DEFINITELY affect your rate – do not be fooled. If you purchase a vehicle that is a few years old and has a high safety rating and is not a luxury car, it will be much cheaper. Also, please note that besides your house, your car usually ends up being your next biggest expense and owing a G35 will hit you hard in terms of insurance, gas and maintenance. Buying a second hand japanese vehicle will not get you any accolades but will save you lots of money in the long run. At the end though, if you want that car, you will find ways to convince yourself that its the best decision

Yes you insure the car and yourself as the driver and then can add drivers and more coverage to the policy if you want to.Basically you must get a standard coverage such as 1 million dollar liability or basic coverage if driving it.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way shop around for quotes but be careful if you’ve a bad drivers record etc bec checking with too many places can be like lowering your credit rating or status and end up not in your favor.
If you want to give me more info such as your age , driving history, number of years driving and last time covered etc I might be able to recommend a company but going through an insurance brokerage can help a lot too.
